OK folks, it’s time to get real: There are only 100 days until Christmas.
If you haven’t started planning your Christmas services and promotion, it’s time to get started. That might seem a little overwhelming in the midst of the fall kickoff, but early is always better. At least put Christmas planning on the calendar and have a plan to get started.
If you still feel overwhelmed, don’t worry. Like Santa with a sack of gifts, we can help.
1. Read the Book
We wrote the book on Christmas planning. Seriously, it’s called God Rest Ye Stressed Communicators: Planning Christmas for Your Church. It’s full of practical ideas and examples to help your church spread the love and joy of the season.
It’s a good place to start, if we do say so ourselves.
2. Christmas Resources
If you need some hands-on help for Christmas, we’ve got the resources for you. Our Courageous Storytellers Membership Site has loads of Christmas resources:
- A Christmas outreach webinar with Phil Bowdle.
- A downloadable Christmas planner.
- A guide to using social media at Christmas.
- Ready-to-use Christmas social media graphics.
- And more Christmas resources coming soon (plus all the other resources covering websites, social media, getting things done, and much more).
Also, Courageous Storytellers members get a free digital copy of God Rest Ye Stressed Communicators. Bonus.
Join Courageous Storytellers now to get access to all those resources.
3. Christmas Ideas
We’ve been around for a while, and we talk about Christmas every year. We’ve accumulated a lot of good ideas, examples, advice, and all-around Christmas wisdom. You could swim around in our archives for a while, or you could check out our massive list of curated Christmas posts.
It’s like Christmas come early for church communicators. If you’re feeling like a Grinch or aren’t sure what to do, browse through all the ideas, articles, and resources. Feel the Christmas spirit. Borrow some good ideas and make them your own.
Peace on Earth
Only 100 days until we celebrate the birth of the King, the day love came down, goodwill toward men, and all that Christmas goodness. We’ve done all we can to help, so please, open this early present of Christmas goodies and find what you need. Ask a question in the comments if you need something else.
May you and your church have a blessed Christmas as you share hope this holiday season.
