We are storytellers on a mission to advance the gospel of Christ.
For seven years Creative Missions has helped churches engage their communities with the gospel by pairing media professionals with under-resourced churches. Teams donate a week of on-site creative help to 10-15 churches and produce videos, websites, logos, printed items, tech solutions, and much more. We’ve covered a lot of ground since our first trip in 2011.
Why Montana?
The need for the gospel is great in Montana. Approximately 85% of Montanans do not have a relationship with Christ and 75% are unchurched according to research from the North American Mission Board.
Montana boasts both Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, rolling grassy plains, beautiful rivers and lakes, abundant wildlife, and over 19 mountain ranges. Pastors are praying the spiritual landscape of Montana will one day reflect its physical landscape as seeds of the gospel are sewn, communities are loved on, and God starts new churches from the gathering of new believers.
Many of the churches are small, remote, and feel isolated, but Montana is currently experiencing explosive growth across the state, including Bozeman.
We are basing out of Bozeman, a young, vibrant city, and the fastest growing community in America. In fact, the tech industry is driving growth as Google and Amazon are in the process of building locations there.
Creative Missions wants to help churches impact communities in Montana. Pastors are excited and thankful about Creative Missions loving their state and serving their churches.
Help Us Help Churches
Apply to serve before February 22.
Once all applications have been processed, Creative Missions invitations and detailed trip information will be sent out by March 1. At that time you can choose to commit, and a deposit paid towards the $595 trip fee will be due to hold your spot. The trip fee covers lodging, meals, and ground transportation. It does not include airfare or travel to Montana.
Sustain these efforts through your tax-deductible donations.
Churches are better engaging their communities with the gospel because of your generosity. Your gifts help pay for production costs for the churches we’re serving: printing, materials, resources, equipment, software licenses; as well as local transportation, food, lodging and more for our team.
All donations are tax deductible through the Center for Church Communication (CFCC). If you’d rather mail a check, please write “Creative Missions” in the memo field and send to:

Do you have a church social media expert as part of your team already?

Maria,
Good questions. That category is one of the options for help each year. We usually need 4-5 social media folks to join the trip.

I’m always impressed by how much these Creative Missions teams are able to do to help local churches in such a short amount of time!

If church marketing sucks, the culture sucks even worse.
I’m a Montana Christian school teacher about to retire, but staying involved. Yesterday, I was putting together a potential strategic project for next year, and the phrase “Big Sky, Big God” came to me. Looked it up today and your website popped up at #1. In your categories and archives, I see a lot of resources that can save me a lot of work. Thanks much!
Potential Project: Grade 7-12 teachers, all during the same period, offer an elective course for students to choose from. Depending on their interest/skill set, they can select courses that range from think tank to writing to visual/social media. All the courses work towards a common goal…influencing their peers across the state and beyond.
My school’s vision statement is “Following Christ’s Call To Impact The World”. We had a lot of lean years, but we were able to survive with His help. Now it’s time to thrive.
