Your church logo is perhaps the most visible and recognizable component of your church. If your brand could be summed up in a single element, it’d be your logo.
So what do you do if your logo sucks?
A lot of churches find themselves in that place. They’re ready to communicate better, but the most visible element of their communication is a crummy logo from 15 years ago.
Yuck. Now what?
Get a New Logo
The simple answer is to hire a designer and get a new logo. Duh.
For some churches, that’s the obvious answer. Done.
For the rest of us, it’s not that simple.
Church Logo Excuses
A lot of churches don’t have the budget.
Or we’ll have a hard time convincing senior leaders to spend the budget.
Or our brand isn’t fleshed out, so before we do a logo we need to tackle our branding, but that involves reevaluating more than we want to think about right now… Ugh.
So most churches have tight budgets, uninterested leadership, and brand complications.
In short, when it comes to getting a better logo, most churches have excuses.
