Easter Effort: Egg Drop

What’s your favorite part about celebrating Easter at your church?

Easter is a great time to focus in on what really matters. Lots of energy is spent on ministries throughout the year, but at Easter it is awesome that we have everyone on board to make things happen.

Share one cool way your church is spreading the word about Easter this year:

We had what we called the ‘First West NELA Egg Drop.’ We had 45,000 eggs for two different locations. We dropped a portion of those eggs out of a helicopter. Mass chaos ensued. But the push was an on-ramp event for outsiders to get them to our Easter services.

How do you keep your focus on the joy of Easter amid the stress of looming deadlines and long hours?

I just enjoy working with an entire team who know what could happen at Easter. Lives are going to be changed. It helps push us through what we’re working on.
