Planning Christmas: Stephen Brewster & Evan Courtney

Planning Christmas: Stephen Brewster & Evan Courtney

November 16, 2011 by

This week we’ve got a couple new videos over at Planning Christmas, thanks to some help from our friends at Our Shirts Don’t Suck.

First, Evan Courtney from the Fields Church in Mattoon, Ill., shares about creating unexpected experiences:

“For Christmas last year we went with the theme of unexpected Christmas and mirrored how the Christmas story was unexpected for Mary and Joseph and then in our services and our community what could we do that was unexpected.”

And yes, it included flashmobs.

Check out Evan Courtney on Planning Christmas.

Then we have Stephen Brewster from Cross Point Church in Nashville, Tenn., talking about their creative process and some of the ideas they have:

“On Dec. 5, we’re going to start the 12 days of serving. We’re going to serve our community for 12 days during Christmas. We couldn’t think of a better way to express the true heart of Christmas.”
