Comedian Andy Kind is offering help to British clergy with a workshop that focuses on performance skills in an effort to help them better communicate with their congregations.
“Christianity is not seen as accessible by the majority of people,” said Mr Kind.
“If we want the Gospel message to engage with people’s spirituality, then we must first learn to better engage with them in human terms.”
Anything we can do to banish the Rev. Lovejoy-esque intonations so common on Sunday morning is a worth a shot.

I have an idea, how about we banish the mispelling of the word “bannish”…

OK, now I have to ask: Was the Aarron/Aaron spelling intentional on either of your parts?

I’m lucky.
My Pastor was in a Christian Metal band called “Theocracy A.D” back in the eighties/early nineties.
He was the guitarist and sometimes vocalist.
He now is AssociatePastor at Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor and leads worship (still playing!) and gives the sermon on Sunday nights.
He’s very relevant and all his “stories” on the sermon topic inspire alot of laughter.
