The 2014 annual report from our nonprofit parent, the Center for Church Communication (CFCC), is now available. It gives a recap of the past year, highlights from our various projects and stories of how we’re helping courageous storytellers at churches everywhere.
In 2014 we launched a podcast, rolled out two books, held two successful Certification Lab events, celebrated a 10-year anniversary and more.
As Executive Director Chuck Scoggins shares, it’s been a good year:
“Church communication keeps on getting better and we’re grateful to be a part of that. We’re ready to see what God will do in the next 10 years.”
Thanks to everyone who makes Church Marketing Sucks and the work of CFCC possible. That’s everyone from our board members and volunteers to our fans and advertisers. It’s a privilege to help churches communicate better and we’re honored that we get to do it.
The stories of how it’s helping are so encouraging:
“Ten years ago today, Church Marketing Sucks debuted. I can’t calculate how much that site and the people behind it and around it have meant to me.” -Scott McClellan
“[Certification Lab is] one of the most worthwhile things I’ve ever done for myself and my ministry.” -Julie Snyder
“This site [Church Marketing Sucks] has helped me know that I’m not alone, I’m not crazy and I’m not just a critical person who thinks my church is doing things wrong. It’s given me data to back up my proposals and inspiration when I wasn’t sure what to try.” -Tonja Conway
Thanks again. If you like what’s happening here, the second to last page of the report talks about ways you can get involved. There are a lot of ways to help, from joining our street team to liking our posts to making a donation. We’d love to welcome you to the team.
