Free Thanksgiving Graphics: Saying Thank You on Social

November 14, 2014 by

Saying thank you is underrated. We’ve got a free Thanksgiving social graphics bundle to help you out.

“No one has ever complained that you say thank you too much.”

We think about it more in November, thanks to Thanksgiving. But saying thank you is something we need to do year-round. It’s a good communication strategy.

Yesterday we said thank you to pastors. It’s one of Kid President’s things we should say more often (“And not just on Thanksgiving—every day!”). Paul never ceases to give thanks (Ephesians 1:16).

OK, it’s a good idea.

Saying Thank You Too Much

Last week at a Twin Cities meetup of church communicators (need a local meetup in your town?) we heard from Drew Gneiser, who handles social media for Feed My Starving Children. He talked about the power of saying thanks:

“No one has ever complained that you say thank you too much.”

Drew finished his talk by pulling out a box of thank you notes. Boom.

Help Your Church Say Thanks

Obviously Thanksgiving is an ideal time to encourage people to say thanks. We’re already in that mindset, so it’s natural. But sometimes we need a little push. Your church can do that on social media:

  • Ask your congregation what they’re thankful for.
  • Remind them to say thank you to the people who matter.
  • And say thank you to the random people too. You can’t overdo it.
  • Ask your congregation for their favorite Thanksgiving memories.
  • Ask people to share their Thanksgiving traditions.

Thanksgiving Graphics

Here’s a free Thanksgiving social graphics bundle you can share on your church social accounts. You get the JPGs to use immediately and PSD files if you want to make some tweaks. We designed these Thanksgiving graphics intentionally vague so you can use them in whatever way works for you.
