Church Marketing Sucks

We’re going to try something new. We want to see what your church is doing. We want to see pictures of what’s happening in your church—not just the huge mega-church in the news or the big name pastor we all follow. We want to hear from your church. This is a new semi-regular series we’re going to start called Show Us Your ____.

Since Easter is coming up quick, let’s see what your church is doing. What kind of marketing are you doing? How is your worship space cleaned up and decked out for Easter? Does your coffee cart, snack table or box of donuts communicate a little more than usual? Are you people dressed up or dressed down? Is your egg drop drawing a crowd or dropping interest? Whether it’s brag-worthy or a little embarrassing, show us your Easter!

Here’s How It Works:

1. Take a picture of Easter at your church. It can be anything Easter: a promo card you sent out, the last-minute preparations, the parking lot egg hunt or the choir in full regalia.
2. Share it. You can post pictures to our Church Marketing Sucks Facebook page or send ’em to @cmsucks on Twitter (use your favorite image sharing service). We’ll gather the pictures together and get a glimpse of what Easter looks like at churches all over the place.
