If you want to be in the know, sign up for our e-mail newsletters. That’s where you can hear things first:
- Last week we told our e-mail subscribers about our plans to accept donations the day before we announced it on the site.
- Our new guest blogger policy went to our e-mail newsletter days before we talked about it on the blog.
- We told our e-mail newsletter subscribers about the new Church Marketing Lab a full three weeks before we made it public on the blog.
- We even mentioned some of these coming changes way back in our February e-mail newsletter.
So the bottom line? If you want to be in on what’s happening with Church Marketing Sucks and our non-profit parent the Center for Church Communciation, sign up for our e-mail newsletters.
Which E-mail Newsletter?
We do offer several e-mail newsletters, not all of which are sent out regularly (or at all–at least not yet). Here’s a quick rundown:
- Center for Church Communication (General) – A general list for the Center for Church Communication as a whole. So far we don’t have a set schedule for this list.
- Church Marketing Sucks (General) – A monthly newsletter for Church Marketing Sucks that includes a note from us about the latest CMS news, recent popular entries, a run down of the month’s Church Marketing Lab entries and more. Right now this is our main list.
- Upcoming Events & Seminars – An events list that we haven’t utilized much, though we plan to start very soon.
- Ways I Can Help (Time, Treasure, Talent) – This is our volunteer list. Whenever we need help with something, we send an e-mail to this list. If you want to help Church Marketing Sucks in any way, this is the list to join.
- Guest Bloggers & Contributors – This is a newer list to help us stay in touch with our guest bloggers as we develop a community to help generate content for the site.
- Special Partners and Resources – This is another list we’ve yet to put to use, but as we partner with other organizations this is a good way to be informed.
- Media Contacts (press releases, etc.) – Rather self explanatory, don’t you think?
So that’s a look at our e-mail newsletter offerings. We usually announce everything online eventually, but if you want to be among the first to know, sign up.

Doesn’t that defeat the point of a blog? Isn’t a blog supposed to have the latest and greatest information? Or is that just a common stereotype
